the reason I kinda liked this was to do with its sardonic humour, but this band's ~leg@cy has already made me like sardonic humour less in general so perhaps this album will eat itself and i will 2 it after all

hmm, I mean I feel like a band like HMLTD has a very goofyness to them, and brings some oddball things to whatever this new (English) post-punk era is. Doesn't always work, but can't knock em for trying. I just get the sense these guys are sardonic but still take themselves oh so seriously. Pick a lane.
