Feel like the only heavy guitar album that sput thinks has good lyrics is Symbolic lol

Hell nah. The Inalienable Dreamless by Discordance Axis, Prowler in the Yard by Pig Destroyer, and Jane Doe have all gotten lyric love on here, if I recall correctly. And they all deserve it. There are more heavy records with top shelf lyrics too, but I can't recall them all rn. Death have great lyrics but I'd never call them cream of the crop.

The lyrics on all those albums are completely undecipherable the majority of the time tho lol. I'm talking albums where the lyrics make up are more than like 1% of the actual listening experience.

My man, in your previous post you only said heavy guitar albums that Sput praises for lyrics. Sput likes those albums for lyrics in addition to the sound. You could argue lyrics are hard to decipher in every genre sometime or another; I don't see what bearing that has on how much people like the lyrics. The are indie songs I like that I don't always hear the words to. As if you can just make out the words in every Death song by just listening.

I don't google lyrics that I can't understand hence why they matter not to me. Also why I don't penalize bands who sing in foreign tongues.

A lot of times I'm just curious and like to know what the song is about. I prefer a full picture. And I don't penalize foreign acts cause it's usually pretty easy to get an English translation.

lolll i admittedly listened to this today after stumbling upon the needledrop review of it, kinda wild how awful it is compared to how he described it

Ever since he cowered away from that Deathspell Omega review, his metal reviews have been demonstrably less frequent, and also his taste in such a lot worse.
|
| |
its the first review of his i've seen in years tbh and he described this as if he was listening to errorzone by vein or somethin
would prob 1.5 this if i wasn't so lazy, sounds like music for ppl with 5 DUIs

I'd be hella impressed if a teenager had 5 DUIs under their belt.

I'd be hella DEpressed lol

I had a friend in highschool who had to go to a driving course and almost got his license suspended for driving 45 in a 25 zone so 5 DUIs and still on the road is quite a feat.
