An exciting, fresh audio assault delivered with poise, guile and a genuine sense of danger that distances itself from the usual dross by having beats and flow that resonate.

Course it has been made by people in their mid 40s

Lyrics on walking in the snow are absolutely fucking incredible.

“Dick Gregory told me a couple of secrets before he laid down in his grave.

All of us serve the same masters
All of us nothing but slaves.

Never forget in the story of Jesus the hero was killed by the state”

Absolutely sensational.

Lyrics are always strong but those one's are some of their most brutal so far

The way they can deliver a joke one verse and then switch to something that cuts to the core impresses me every time with them

I always liked the way they illustrated the difference between the 'us' and 'them' they frequently refer to on 'Angel Duster'

:'you want a whore in a white dress, I want a wife in a thong'.

'Angel Duster' from RtJ2 is probably my favourite set of lyrics by them, in the context of the rest of the lyrics in that tune that line is absolutely incredible - the false vs the real made a crystal clear distinction

Obviously that lyric still applies to the current situation - do you want a sadist murderer in a uniform or do you want people to be seen as they really are and embrace that

One of the best albums of the year no question

Not their best album, in my opinion, which is hardly an insult considering their strong back catalogue. This is a more streamlined album than their usual stuff, and maybe it's just the current climate - but it certainly comes across as more passionate and pointed than RTJ3.

Given the state of affairs and the album's timing, this could be an 'era-defining' album for RTJ and propel them to a wider audience.

I like the way El changes beats and adds spooky sounds, like rising pads, Shepard tone sounding things, air raid sirens, etc.
