Sometimes his lyrics are very witty or clever. Sometimes they are just awful. They've never once invoked any sort of passionate emotion from me though. He isn't the worst lyricist in this band, that's for damn sure.
Like I said, he's a good vocalist. It's probably not fair to him I'm coming off of having Polaris' disco on repeat the last few weeks where Jamie blows him out of the water.

Mess is a phenomenal lyricist when he's not lazy. His lyrics are often silly or absurd, but they're not stupid. Unless you count this album and some of ArSe.
Tilian, however, may be a great vocalist, but he's almost single-handedly brought DGD into a decline. Just look at how creative the outputs of Sianvar and Secret Band are. The guy is likable and helped make DGD even more commercially successful, but fuck is it depressing from a creative standpoint.

I can't hate Tilian after some interview about Afterburner influences: "I've been listening to some Northlane Node Instrumentals and just chilling". My man.
I don't see the influence though (apart from in Prisoner maybe, lyrically and vocally) on this record, but still.
