I love that part too if I'm being honest (so yes, the whole song)

I think Parker falls on the misconception that to do "pop" you need vocals all over the song and repetitive rhythms

You can definitely do excellent pop and still have instrumental sections or jams

Weirdly my to faves are Breathe Deeper and It Might Be Time, possibly because they're more jammy and rely less on forced vocals/melodies?

Breathe Deeper's "hidden track" towards the end is so great

There are a few "hidden tracks" here I love. If you'd consider the latter portion of Posthumous Forgiveness, that's one of my favorite parts of the entire album.

Both sections of Posthumous Forgiveness are the best parts of the album

This is still quite lucky to get the 3.5 from me, it's wearing off already

Yeah, as I said previously, it's on the borderline (*cringe*) between 3 and 3.5

Honestly, klap's summary for his review of Currents applies even more so here.

Tame Impala getting picked as the big breakout indie band of the late '10s will always be weird to me - I guess this was always a "vibe" act (though I maintain that Lonerism is one of the best constructed capital A Albums in recent memory, and a good emotional journey) but Parker has moved on to the kind of vibe I don't necessarily vibe with.

This album is incredibly average. Production still sounds good, though.

Currents is definitely better, but I’m glad this album at least has some identity even tho it’s not perfect.

Both this and Currents suck big way. But thanks to this i’m starting to enjoy Currents a little more.
