I think they're done. This band has had nothing but bad luck since their inception. It took them 24 years to come together long enough to make this album, and then COVID shit on every one of their comeback plans.

They did a reissue campaign of all their albums last year, on cd and vinyl. Maybe they'll catch a little inspiration from that--I mean, we can hope.

I did not know that there were reissues last year. Looks like I have some money to spend.

considering this is post-Deadsoul Tribe I was expecting a bit more. Most of the choruses did not have a big impact. album is enjoyable I just was not wowed by alot.
standout tracks on FIRST listen:
Devils and Angels
Back to Black
Sisters of the Dawn

^^There is more here than Dead Soul Tribe, album blossoms through repeated listening sessions.

I heard the deadsoul tribe discography before realizing the singer had a previous band. i REALLY enjoy DT. His vocals there IMO are much better than anything in Psychotic Waltz. DT has almost no exposure on this website which is unfortunate. With that said I do intend to relisten to this for sure

The tone of the singer is different in Deadsoul Tribe, I like it just the same as Psychotic Waltz.
In the first two Psychotic Waltz albums, he sounds like Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull singing in a tech thrash band.
Bleeding is closer to Deadsoul Tribe, in terms of vocal tone, for some reason Buddy Lackey (or Devon Graves) changed his pitch.

The song "Coming Down" from Deadsoul's first album is a great representation of why I prefer him in that band as opposed to PW. You are right that he is closer aligned to it in this album. It had also been 13 years since A Lullaby for the Devil so to me his voice is not as potent.

In The God-Shaped Void, Graves is merely serving the needs of the album, and he is killing it imho.
In order to assess the state of his voice, you must see him performing live, and live reports published since the reunion say he is doing fine, especially accounting for the natural/expected decay that all vocalists of that caliber, experience over time.
On another note, I can't believe six years have passed since the release of this album...
