I mean, I won't lie. There are a couple Lil Pump/Smokepurpp songs I listen to for fun on occasion. Completely aware that it's pretty garbage though. I mean but I enjoy some of that pop rap like Carti B and Meg the Stallion and Da Baby (who can actually rap his ass off), etc.

I mean I like Lil Baby and Drake on "Yes Indeed" and I love that Carti song "Magnolia" as a dumb banger. I don't need all music to be high art. Or like Young Nudy has solid projects. NLE Choppa, Bobby Shmurda, and Blocboy JB are ignorant folks I like to jam sometimes.
I mean my FAVORITE stuff is always gonna be the serious high art, some of it can just be vibes. Mind you I'm not huge fans of any of the people we've been talking about besides Denzel, but I can get down with party music too. Just not all or even most of the time.

Is fun music really so "dumb"? I feel it's more complicated than that. Idk, there's something primal and minimal about Sheck Wes's "Mo Bamba" that most people seem to love. Would I call it a triumph of songwriting? Never. It's it a fucking bop? ABSOLUTELY
