considering what alexis said about the song and its killing joke inspiration i assume it's about the deranged protagonist gaining a new perspective or some kind of fucked up enlightenment from murdering people, their bodies being "open" and all.
that's the best i can come up with at the moment anyway

"im gonna get a boom box and play this outside my house while handing out candy to trick or treaters"
How did it work out, Sowing? I would've played Guest House on loop. But unfortunately I was in the fucking hospital the last days. First thing I did when I got home a few hours ago was listening to this shit

I waited until later because I didn't want to scare the little kids who come out super early. Combined with the generally fucked up decorations on our lawn, I feel like it set a pretty scary precedent.

I'm still processing last week's releases. At the moment I'd say Boygenius > Daughters > Holter > Yorke but that could change drastically and very easily.

Did anybody get the thing?

Is Yorke’s album worth hearing? I was up for trying it out until I realised it’s just a film soundtrack & thought it might be underwhelming out of context.

It depends on how you feel about film soundtracks in general. About half(ish) of the album is (imo) relatively aimless short ambient stuff that sets a good enough atmosphere but doesn't stick with you, the other half(ish) is vocal ballads (not unlike the more stripped down moments of A Moon Shaped Pool or Amnesiac) which are very good, as well as a few more fully developed ambient tracks that are a but more memorable. At 80 minutes it's a long listen but worth a spin I'd say, especially for the vocal tracks.

Thanks for the detailed response, all you needed to say was ‘it has Thom’s vox’ & that alone would’ve made it worth listening to. Not sure why I was under the impression it was purely instrumental.
