He also helped produce dredg's 2005 record Catch Without Arms and is even credited in a couple of songs that he helped arrange. Like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nrIMhK_SRE
Anyway I'd very much prefer to have him back with Whip rather than Tate. Now that would bring back some true Ryche magic.

Are any of their albums after Promised Land worth a listen? I wonder how Tate's vocal style actually changed.

Hard no. More than anything his lyrical content changed....not for the better. If anything, listen to Dedicated to Chaos, very funny album.

A little late to the party, but I'd say The Verdict is worth a listen. A lot of the purists will definitely question whether or not it's even a Queensryche album, but all I'm saying is if you like this you'd probably like that regardless of what name it's released under.

@willie I kind of just assumed the question was IRT the GT albums. My opinion is that all three Todd albums are worthwhile, and each was better than the last.

for sure, he'd really warmed up that midrange.
I don't think this album's production gets enough credit either. It's almost like Bob Rock does Queensryche.
