They really haven’t at all, but I like reading the reviews anyway. I’m so tired of this genre of rap.

fr just let people enjoy what they enjoy, and if youre a fan and they don't enjoy it, then don't try and make them enjoy it because thats just as annoying

Innovative=good is an equivalence that seems so solidly true when youre young. 19 yo are the new 13 yo.
Also, at least some memes are funny lol

"And that's what baffles me about Playboi Carti's music especially WLR which people are hailing it as the cornerstone of "experimental trap" and claiming that his inflections in the album are somehow innovative and his minimal effort in his lyricism and the "psychedelic beats" are somewhat innovative."
it's not the cornerstone of experimental trap but Carti definitely has a unique style which has to mean he's innovative to some extent I would think. I wouldn't say the beats are innovative as much as just really good and catchy and they work perfectly with the type of atmosphere Carti is going for, all while being very simple. And nobody says his lyrics are innovative lol

I was just hating on Playboi Carti and wanted to know why is he considered a legitimate rapper and wanted to know if the paradigm in rapping has shifted. Granted, I would be a hypocrite if I said that I didn't enjoy some of Carti's songs, I found s/t enjoyable and I also liked half of the songs from Die Lit, I just didn't enjoy WLR.
