i actually think this is an ok album, the guitar riffs and awesome drumming really are catchy, the lyrics are quite good to. unfortunately the lack of guitar solos and poor production really bring this album down.
Saying that though it's still better than 95% of mainstream music today

yeah, i liked this album, nowhere near as much as ride the lightning or the black album but it beats any slipknot or static x album.

The album is good compared to other music coming out these days, but horrible compared to old metallica. It's good, just not Metallica good. The only plus to the album in my view, is the dvd. Like I said, the music isn't that great, but you still get to watch Metallica play.

ride the lightning is one of my favorite songs....mainly cuz the solo, AWSOM!...
also im not gunna be one of those people who say stuff lyk "st. anger is there worst album (even though it may be the truth)" but i think this album is cool... if u get past the production sound, or lars's trash can drumming... its pretty good......nuthin against lars.. he does some amazing drumming on this album...
hey did anyone hear about metallica making a new album???
maybe they will make a comeback, lyk return to there old sound as in ride the lightning or master of puppets...maybe, or at least put some solos in the songs

their new album comes out this late this year or early next year (thats what ive heard).
also ride the lightning is one of metallicas greatest albums, that master of puppets and the black album are my favourite 'tallica albums.

No, I think St Anger is their worst, even though It's one of my favourite. Load and ReLoad are deeply misunderstood albums, which have some ripping tracks. IMO of course. And how can RtL be anyone's least favourite? Pearler of a record, that one.

Which one is always entitled to. That's the beauty of such a forum - a complete collaboration of ideas and beliefs clashing together to further people's interest in a topic and to foster a relationship between individuals who share similar (or different) opinions and ideas.

I agree that Load and Reload are much maligned, somewhat unjustly, and that they have some ripping tracks, but I think their faults lie in their inconsistency. There was a rather high level of filler, I felt.
As for RtL, Metallica have never made a bad album. Even St. Anger is just deeply, deeply average. But, like, REALLY deeply.
