idk i think both kendrick and kanye's verses are great i know it's unconventional to listen to ye for the bars rather than the production but the song doesn't have to be bad just because madlib's looping

ppl complain about the looping beat??? have they listened to a hip hop song before

i'm complaining about it because it's a boring minute of music. obviously real friends is basically the same thing for 5 minutes too, but it's dark and dense and fascinating by contrast. i'm basically in agreement with anarchist that it's the only joint on this album that sounds amazing. the production is ace on it, but elsewhere it feels sloppy (and i get that that was the intention, it just doesn't gel with me). i mean, real friends and 30 hours are just painfully better than every other cut here - especially the first half of the album, which consists of a lot of tracks i straight up couldn't care less about

No more Parties is the best track imo.
"I be worried bout my daughter, I be worried about Kim, but Saint is baby Ye, I aint worried about him."
Love that line a lot for some reason. Plus it has my favorite beat on the album. I actually think Kanye goes harder than Kendrick does on that track.

yeah kendrick's verse is kind of w.e imo. my favorite moment on the album (besides the entirety of real friends) is the freestyle he does in 30 hours - that bit in particular where he says "now i'm about to drive 90 miles just to-just-ta, just ta, i'm about to drive 90 miles just to whoop a nigga's ass"
i love that frantic skittering thing he does, and the whole song is just so chill. indeed a song to 'ride out to.' also that cell phone LOL

i'm glad at least one other person agrees with me about no more parties. it has all the makings of a classic yeezy joint, it just bores me to death though.

That track makes me want to check more Madlib produced stuff.

you should check out more stuff. pretty much most of what he's done is better than that song by miles

Wow, and I thought that beat was at least top 3 on this album.

this is a really cool interpretation of the album and it actually makes sense https://twitter.com/NathanZed/status/699404203056369665
had to move the tracklist around a bit though but who cares kanye might do it again later anyway

i make it a point to separate the artist from the art for this exact reason
