Indeed. If it's not getting much press at all, and you don't like it, why bother giving it negative press? Better to just let them be. That's how I feel about music publication in general - people read reviews for two main reasons: to find good stuff they might not have known about otherwise and to see if popular/anticipated releases are actually any good. Don't tell me about bad stuff that I wouldn't have heard about anyways.

"Monkey Dead" has grown on me quite a bit but I'd still put it near the bottom of my ranking, in fact it's probably still my least favorite. Don't get me wrong, it's a great song and serves an important role in the tracklist by lightening the mood slightly, but to my ears it lacks the emotional resonance of every other tune here. It's the most conventionally enjoyable song here (unsurprisingly it was the album's sole single), so I'm not surprised that someone who thinks the rest of the album is basic sadboi mopey shit would find it the best.
