Went to the show in London last night, it was better than I'd expected and has bumped up my estimation of this album slightly. Highlight though was the live reworking of Bloodhound. Conor also shared a photo I took on his personal Instagram and Twitter, which definitely stroked my ego.

Conor is a really cool guy. My lady and I talked with him for a bit after their set with mewithoutYou and he seemed genuinely thrilled to just have people interested in their music and performance.

Night Channels is beautiful, and I think the instrumental builds well enough.

If that was to mine, I'm just so indifferent to this album. I'm sorry. I'll give it a listen again soon, but outside of The Magdalene, Night Channels, and to an extent Three on a Match, I don't find it riveting at all, and I've listened to it quite a lot. That said, this is where I started paying attention to your reviews, I like the tone of this one a lot.

thanks Blush. and yeah I getcha man but maybe we just rate albums differently. Like if I listened to an album and I only really dug 3-4 songs but I found those songs to be really good, I give the album at least a 3, if not a 3.5. I dont doubt youve listened to this a lot though

Album has some fantastic songs. Something holding it back from a 4 for me though and I'm not sure what it is. I know this isn't that old, but I'm actually more excited to here what's next since I have a better idea of how they want to sound now. I really wasn't sure what to expect after Albatross.

I'm a little surprised you're not a fan of this Blushful given your opinions on 'The World Is a Beautiful Place...'. I've not given this a proper listen yet, but I'd heard it was a similar sort of emo blend

They are similar (especially The Albatross to any of TWIABP's stuff) but Dealer is really sparse and quiet in a way that TWIABP rarely is
