This disc can be hard to swallow on 1st listen, one surely needs multiple plays to begin to understand it. I love Rainbow, and the eerie choir in I Believe in You both haunts and thrills me. Really the first three are just incredible together.
What is most fun after getting a handle on SoE is to go back and re-listen to TCoS. To me it's so thrilling to listen to all of the hints of what's to come on Spirit. This band had a really interesting progression over a short amount of time. The caterpillar surely became the butterfly. Godspeed, Mark.
