I added a pros/cons section to the conclusion, as well as edited a few standout tracks.

I personally think Wet Sand is one of the best songs on the album, like a RCHP spin on Zeppelin. Can't go wrong with that.

Dan, at least the definition fits in well with your user name...

Well, the way i use juxtaposition is as a combination, or something of that sort.

I don't know about you guys but I'm pretty sure I've already listened to everyone of their previous CDs. This is just more pretty good music that is slowly becoming derivative due to Red Hot's ubiquity.

yeah the first 6 or so tracklistings are up there with californication i reckon...but i think as a whole the album is best in small chunks to appreciate some of the later songs..

Id strongly recomend "bloodsugarsexmajik" too, just coz a lot of the newer fans (if you are one) seem to just have "californication" and "by the way".

This album feels like a greatest hits album somehow, not in that its unoriginal, but that its a synthesis of all that the band is, it'd be a killer introduction to the band for the uninitiated

1 thing i dont get the band saying "this is some of the heaviest shit we've ever
done", ok youve got "readymade" and some superb guitar work, but it seems none
of the songs bounce around or get as outa control as "suck my kiss" or
"backwoods"..This Message Edited On 06.07.06

RHCP is one of the most cliche bands that ive ever heard. And is Cali really that great? But other than that this can be a really entertaining album. This Message Edited On 06.07.06

alright, IMO RHCP can be truely repetitive with their lyrics. Hints: their songs about California. But they usually make up for it with 1. Flea and 2. the vocals being truely catchy.

Is that good? This Message Edited On 06.07.06
