It's always hard for me to rate Antics, OLTA and this after TOTBL. It really is dependant on the day and my mood on which one I think is their second best.



That said, this and OLTA may have a slight edge on Antics.

it took me forever to get into this as an album, i always liked a handful of songs but this just clicked with me lately for whatever reason.

Just listened to Everything is Wrong. That song is pretty good.

I like the second song slightly better than the first one I think but I'm not really sold on these piano-rock lullabies. The frantic energy and colorful compositions that are their trademarks are severely missing in both songs, it just feels barren.



It feels like a Paul Banks solo project more than Interpol.

Agreed, but I actually like El Pintor and the s/t is also kinda underrated but very much representative of this stripped back approach. So I can sorta vibe with those two, but Marauder and this new one (if it sounds anything like these two singles) are where they lost me tbh.
