my knowledge of this kind of stuff isn't sufficiently advanced to begin dealing in subtleties

i hear mournful neoclassical strings combined with folky guitar ok

oh ok, well if you're into this, check out Vali's works. It's on par with this IMO

"I'm still coming back to this regularly after more than a month. There's so much to take in."

Agreed man. Easily one of my most jammed albums of the year and it's constantly in my rotation whenever I'm in the mood to chill and listen to something beautiful,

especially the last two tracks.

Disagreed hard. I find that with a lot of folk music the songs begin to get kind of similar, but not here. I never get bored while listening to this.

It sounded alike when I first heard it but are a while each song really took up a character of it's own

"Disagreed hard"

I've never given it a close listening (i.e. picking each song apart and making notes on the structure, harmonies, changes etc) so that's probably in order.

Ok, that sounds like you're taking it a bit too far but whatever floats your boat i guess. I'd avoid listening to it as a whole. It does make everything sound like the same song after a while IMO

I just spent five years in college doing that for dozens and dozens of pieces...it's become second nature XD sorry. that's a good point about listening to the songs individually.

of course that was all like...baroque and classical music. I think I could live happily without Bach or Haydn for a couple years. this will be a suitable alternative x3

Yeah, especially considering they're all 9+ minutes. That or listen to this when you're sleepy. It's amazing
