Yeah, and that adds a lot of emotion to the concerts. It also helps that they have the most dedicated, passionate and caring fanbase ever, which I'm proudly a part of.

I still live it dude cos I still spin this shite like it was '92.

Ten, Siamese Dream, Dirt, In Utero and Superunknown are all easily perfect 5's, plus they're all excellent for different reasons, each one brings an enormous sense of variety.

Superunknown has always been too polished and shiny for my tastes

Figured you'd be all over that one, bud. Curiously enough, in the past couple of weeks I've spun it more than I had ever before, and it finally struck me as a classic, have to say it was well worth the wait. How do you rate it, Zak?

I remember playing it for the first time the week it was released and liking it but the impact wasn't there, soon after grunge was out the window and I was into other things but I would return occasionally and everytime I spun it I couldn't help but feel slightly deflated by the thing.
I last heard it about 6mnths ago and nothing had changed. Definitely has its moments though, it's good.

Zak I heard the whole album played live in Hyde Park and Soundgarden were unbelievably good, they completely wiped the floor with Motorhead, FNM and Black Sabbath. It was like a massacre, they stood out so much from the other acts. Given me a lot more respect for them now, they slay.
I think the eastern influences are actually merged into their music more seamlessly than by Led Zeppelin too

I've never seen any of them doof dude. I've always imagined FNM to be unbelievable live. That Brixton gig in '89? 90? is absolute class. You've seen them a few times haven't you? Shite?
|

I've never seen Soundgarden live, but from a bunch of videos of early performances of theirs, about as early as '92, they seemed to rule. Cornell was and still is a classy dude.

Yeah, seen FNM four times, twice they were incredible (Phoenix fest, Download fest), once average (Brixton but recently not the '90 show), and poor at Hyde Park. I think I might have seen them once more back in the 90's too but can't remember where/when.
I'm sure in their heyday Motorhead and Sabbath would have been the equal of Soundgarden on that day too, but I'm going to call it - respect due and all that but they're pretty much past it
