This is a pretty good album, but there's a lot of filler on it. When an album only runs 28 minutes, there's really no excuse for including tracks like "Drinking with the Jocks" and "Osama bin Laden as the Crucified Christ".

I really like the title track, "True Trans Rebel", and "Two Coffins" though. Probably their best material since Reinventing Axl Rose.

The album's definitely better than White Crosses, but not a 4.7.

^ Pretty much exactly how I feel about this album. An album this short with filler is just dumb, really.

I don't get the hate for Osama, I think it's a great track and well-placed on the album.

Yeah, I don't think it's the worst track on the album, Jocks is worst on the album for me by a fair distance

The only song I don't really care for on this is FuckMyLife666. I really like Jocks though, probably one of my favourites off this.

All these people talking about the worst tracks, yet no one saying "Dead Friend." I'm so confused.

Man I knew the first post-coming out album would be good, but holy fuck wasn't expecting it to be their best album in over a decade. SO much fucking energy and passion and anger and emotion in every song.

I'm also pleasantly surprised her voice hasn't changed at all, that was the only thing that worried me but I'm not sure if she's on those kinds of hormones yet or not? Or if she plans to? Don't know but I'm glad we get to have that awesome voice atleast a bit longer. Not that it really matters, what matters is what makes her happy.

So freaking good.

I gotta listen to this. For someone who has never heard Against Me! before, would anyone recommend listening to some of their earlier stuff first? Should I start with this one anyway?

Don't start with this one, start with Acoustic EP then Reinventing and Cowboy. If you want to listen to New wave and White Crosses, you'll be even more impressed with how they managed to come back on this.
