Kcd2 is far less jank than the first. Probably one of the more polished games for its scale in recent memory

ESO is worth it. Wow that Morrowind based quest was fantastic. It involved the Morag Tong which I don't was ever addressed before "officially" also Zenimax is that in the thousands in the past official, but shit the main line as has barely done anything with Skyrim or the lore.
ESO is slap combat or very boring, but damn. Also I think I like it more playing as my nightblade. The combat is so easy now, probs find a guild, but I turned one down.
The combat is very simple I think too simple now, when I used to play it I was a nightblade, sneaking around is still fun and there are really great stories. But like most MMOS. Unless you are max level. *sigh* People feel like well a MMO no one plays the low content anymore and then go into the high level content well they suck. Eff. Everquest was different. I prefer the new style, but hahaha there is comfort in playing old content and moving on. Even in FFXIV though no one will tell you that.
ESO has this scaling system so sometimes ya do see some level 150 plus person running an old quest by himself I guess because completions I guess.

I remember my first time playing ESO (back in like 2014) the pressure to just speed level to max level was so prevalent in the community and for the meta and it really killed it for me, and then yeah the high level content wasn't as engaging. Now this was 10 years ago mind you lol I have friends that still play regularly and they say it's improved a good bit

I didn't play it until 2016/17 Morrowind edition and by then there already were some changes like the One Tamriel were all normal zones scaled to your level. I think there are nightmare themed dungeons where your build actually does matter more in the late games. It's still fun to boot this up for the lore. It actually got me more wound up than I expected. All that sneaking around when I thought the quest was already wrapped up.
I still think the appeal of MMO can be found even in the earlier content. ESO is in that weird spot where as I said unless you are PVPing or running those late dungeons it sort of scales to the player and not always in a damage spongey grind way like Oblivion at least for solo content. I almost beat a low level group dungeon on my own actually since I could just sneak past the mobs and pull the boss. It was the second boss that I just wasn't prepared when he summoned his adds.

Will you be the next Septim? Why does Zenimax care more about ES(O) than Todd Howard or Bethesda proper.

I ended up bouncing off the Oblivion remake pretty hard unfortunately. Just felt so immersion breaking encountering thousands of bandits throughout the map but then every city only has like 5 - 10 NPCs.
But I just picked up Dark Souls 1 a few days ago and that on the other hand, has me completely hooked so far.

Yeah, oblivion still has some terrific questlines but it definitely shows it's age in mechanics and scope. It is funny how guarded people are against criticism of the game now that Bethesda actually released a game people can enjoy. You can wallpaper over the ugly graphics but it only helps so much.

The remaster is some good nostalgia porn but beyond that, it's still Bethesda kinda phoning shit in by rehashing a previous success, which they also outsourced the work on. I've clocked in 40 hrs on the remaster and I've put it down for the past week and a half or so. Thinking of picking it back up tn or trying to start Clair Obscur. But still, this has to be one of the best videogame soundtracks oat. Like every note is pure nostalgia.
