it's slower for sure, but I think Danny meant it to be that way. the second half is sort of like the hangover phase of this album. at least that's how I interpret it

I didn't hate it on first listen but I sure as hell didn't give it enough credit

thats how a lot of amazing albums are i feel like, i hated Jane Doe at first that comes to mind and CTTS i hated at first as well

the second half feels like coming down off a buncha drugs. its why i dont like it as much as the first (grew on me though)

He just captures that hollow feeling so fucking well though. That's why I feel like even though the second half requires much more endurance than the first, and even with it being as long as it is that in some ways the album actually gets better as it goes along. That's a very difficult thing to do, and I think he does it.
