This is one of those cases where I totally understand why most people prefer the first album. But the thing is, and I don't feel this way very often, but Rage Against the Machine sounds better to me when they're more streamlined. The first album has a little more raw power, but this just has a slicker feel. Most of the time, I'm more about that raw emotion, but this band is an exception. Plus, this still has the feel of their debut, it's just harnessed more. It works in the case of this band imo

I'm not even joking, the RATM s/t is good in short bursts but it bores me to tears after a few songs, and its meant to be their pinnacle. I can listen to three dolla the whole way thru tho
