Interesting observation, but I never understood the general public's fascination with Imagine Dragons. One could argue the Twenty One Pilots have done more for alternative than Imagine Dragons has in the same amount of time; however, I was never a huge fan of Imagine Dragons and found the review interesting. Imagine Dragons doesn't have much wiggle-room with their sound due to the spot they're trapped in.

this is a high 3.5/low 4 from what i remember

it's got a bit more direction compared to smoke and mirrors, and is a bit more consistent and refreshing

but some songs are downright uninteresting and why I think it's on par with s+m is because s+m explored a lot more directions and had a more rock sound

this was more consistent but had more forgettable songs.
