I meant that as an amusing anecdote, nothing else. I mean I thought it was obvious that Basket Case was a successful song on the radio, that's why it was the first song that popped in my head when I was thinking of their older hits. That's why I mentioned it. I could have chosen my words better, but there you have it.
And yeah, Basket Case is one of the poppier songs on Dookie, but it's still got the anarchic rawness to it like all their early stuff does. The lyrics are poignant as well. I just used Basket Case as a reference to one of their more poppy old songs so I could explain how they'd become even more radio-friendly and pop-oriented on this album. Wasn't trying to say anything about it's financial success or anything.

¡Uno! did pretty well on the first week of release
That was around the time *whateverthenameofthevocalistis* had that breakdown about how he is "Not fucking Justin Bieber", I'm pretty sure that helped

Warning is behind this and Dookie for me. Those three albums really beat their other stuff by a pretty wide margin for me.

Yeah it's pretty cool so far. And one of the main actors wears a Scott Pilgrim shirt during a performance so that's a plus.
