he's usually not even funny when he tries to be (except the gold cobra review, i thought that was pretty genius) and the whole "internet's busiest music nerd" shit makes him look like the biggest douche ever

"and the whole "internet's busiest music nerd" shit makes him look like the biggest douche ever"
hahahaha how is that even remotely douchey?
but anyway, I think he's a good reviewer who justifies his opinions well (even if I don't always agree with them) and he's entertaining. people need to chill. He's better than a lot of the staff here anyway.

the staff here don't do video reviews, you can't compare two different mediums

it sounds like something a 15 year old would come up with
again though, i'm sure he's a nice guy and all

i just wasn't aware people considered him a credible reviewer. he's funny sometimes but i would never watch his videos expecting a great insightful review or something

'media* I think?'
i guess that's correct too, though i think my vocab is correct when describing video and prose as two different mediums/platforms for cultural criticism

no, it's "media", unless yr talking about several supposed psychics

He makes for a good alternative sometimes. But yeah, his written stuff is atrocious. He's far too casual (which works fine when just presenting his ideas visually) to be effective when having nothing more but the written word to deal with

man, I only thought this was pretty rad for a while. I liked it, but it was nothing more than a summer fun record
I listened to this on the drive home after hanging out with one of my best friends for the first time in months. It seemed to fit the mood so well, and this really peeled away a whole new layer for me.
Gonna be spinning this all summer long
