Back in the day (ie. like 3 years ago) it was very rare to see a guy with 4000+ comments. Oh how mainstream that has become...

lol I remember seeing an old post recently where ballstothewall was celebrating reaching 10k posts.
I think there's people on the forums with astronomical post counts

Superior rich girl from japan?

Surely, you meant to say basement-dwelling gypsy low life of a troll who lives in romania. :]

Thanks man! And yeah that's kinda why I'll never be the guy who throws reviews up weeks ahead of time. Outside of say Deftones or some other huge band, I just don't really see the point. Would rather wait so people could actually discuss it rather than going "oh man, this needs to leak"

I swear people still aren't even talking about the music on this. And we're on page 25.

Start talking then son.

The vocal sample on Ennio's Eden brings me back to Embryo a bit, although they're used quite differently. Both those samples just feel so powerful when they come in, but I like the way it's done on Ennio a bit better, although the tracks overall are on level ground. The thick atmosphere on Ennio and the way it builds to that point makes it so cool when it comes in, where the one on Embryo really doesn't have that time to build since it comes in on a break in the track, and I think the best part of the one in Embryo is the re-entry of the beat, even though I love Dexter and that sample.

Never watched Dexter

But yeah, I love the way the beat cuts out, he lets the sample do its thing, then there's that bass kick and fade out before it all starts up again

Yeah man that track is so fucking cool. Definitely the best off the first album IMO. BTW, if you're curious, it's a quote from Dexter's dad, who has found out that Dexter has murderous feelings, and his dad is explaining that some of the terrible stuff he witnessed as a child corrupted him to make him want to kill people, and thinks they can "channel it", which is the whole premise of the show - him killing bad guys to channel his serial killer urges.
