No Yes album could ever come close to Genesis' best albums for me.

I completely agree, even when including Yes' old classics

interesting. all/most of the 70s prog giants are solid and pretty darn close to each other in quality imo.

Floyd is prob my fave of them all, but I love Camel and Rush almost as much. Gen is awesome too. I respect Chris Squire's bass chops, but not the biggest Yes fan tbh.

KC has some impressive records too.

Yes and Jethro Tull (sorry Jamie) were the two I never enjoyed as much as many of the other prog giants. Yes seemed

emotionally lacking, while I didn't enjoy the methods of how folk was integrated in prog with Jethro's sound

I gotta say i absolutely love a few of Jetho Tull's records, and i often listen to them for the actual folk compositions, rather than their more proggy stuff. But they wont reach the same level as Genesis for me, no way

Yes were talented musicians no doubt, but they just don't quite click with me as well as other prog giants. That, and I've already stated my opinion on Jon Anderson's vocals.

Regarding Tull, I haven't gotten that much into them, but TaaB is pretty sweet.

Tull were never really a prog band in the same sense as the others. They never really integrated folk into prog as such they were pretty much just a forward thinking folk rock band that ended up being labelled as prog due to the fact that they were progressive in nature.

If you have to label them as progressive-something then yes.
