Tbh I just think this is straight up their best album by a long shot
I fuckin despise prog so much of the time but this shit just fuckin hits man. I’m probably gonna wind up seeing them in October… is there a reason they don’t really play much off this? Like, I get there’s two LONG ass songs on it but the title track is fuckin excellent and it seems like they don’t really bust it out all that often. Idk maybe I’m just not really paying attention
I really wish I could’ve seen these guys on that Alice In Chains / Deftones tour, that’s a wildly stacked bill.

Took a quick look at their setlists this year and they seem to be playing the t/t... maybe not too often but fairly often pretty much. Ghost of Karelia seems a way rarer occurence, it would go hard as shit if they busted it out.

@insurr i saw them on that tour, they played the full album then did a couple unexpected tracks, like circle of cysquatch, aqua dementia, closed with MOTHER PUNCHER

that era was peak. don't even need to look up the setlist for 2009 Crack the Skye tour because it was just banger after banger in reverse chronological order. all of CtS, The Wolf is Loose, Crystal Skull, Capillarian Crest, Bladecatcher, Colony of Birchmen, Megalodon, Iron Tusk, Seabeast, March of the Fire Ants.
