"i'm not defending this album, and i never said i liked. i was just thinking to myself like only some it appears, "and what else?" after reading the second half of the review which is nothing short of a self-indulgent rant.

but w/e, next time i'll just save you trouble and hop on the band-wagon of bashing the album itself, rather then question your reasoning behind the review"

Dude...... did someone drop you on your head as a child, or are you a Korn fan that's too ashamed to admit it?

I fail to see how any of that is self indulgent, and seeing as how the second half has to back up the part where I call the album "horrible" it'd be a rather interesting review if I chose to start talking about the positives of the album at that point

The way you're disagreeing with him makes it pretty obvious.

Except everything you're saying is ridiculous. You critique the review as if he had an obligation to be positive about it.

I'll have you know I was using gook, beaner, and swamp grass way before Gran Torino came out.

my two cents on this whole argument (re: Dev hating this/unfairly not giving it a chance):

this is hardly a surprise. Dev loves dubstep, the whole genre, especially the style of it that was more popular when it was first coming out (Burial etc.). Of course he would hate this unconditionally. It is an (arguably) washed-up mainstream metal band hopping on a musical trend that has exploded in NA over the past year in which meatheads construct "dubstep" only focussing on the nasty bassdrops and dirty sounds and entirely avoiding the more subtle, laid back side of the genre. Korn was even so arrogant to say that they were "dubstep before there was dubstep" which further illustrates how little they, and the mainstream American musical audience truly knows about the genre they claim to love. this is basically everything that one person could potentially hate about "brostep" in one album. So of course Dev would give this the lowest possible score. Thinking he would do anything but is just dumb.

tldr WUBWUBWUB etc

and do the people accusing him cause he's staff and isn't reprsenting the website properly or something:

that's not how it works here, it's not pitchfork. The staff reviews aren't based on a consensus; any user (staff or otherwise) is free to post their own opinion on any album, the rest of the staff doesn't have to agree on it for it to be approved. this doesn't mean that sputnik as a whole gives this album a 0.5/5, it means that one user (out of thousands) does.

what am I doing? this is useless haha
