People hate them just to hate them. I have always liked Nickelback and I bought all of their albums. They were fucking awesome live too. This is coming from somebody who listens to bands like Amon Amarth, Scar Symmetry, Soilwork, Dark Tranquillity, Tool, Pink Floyd, Riverside, Godsmack, Sevendust, Type O Negative, Paradise Lost, etc. My point is that I like different kinds of shit and I'm not afraid to admit it.

Unless if people claim that they're the best band of all time (in which I'd gladly punch them in the face) then I generally don't have a problem.

I used to work at a pizza place where we'd have the rock station running all the time. I had to hear at least two Nickelback, two Godsmack, and two Hinder songs a day for years.
