yeah don't get me wrong not everything on here is blah but a good deal of it is. Stargasm,The Hunter and The Sparrow are pretty good and maybe on a good day Spectrelight but other then that blah.

I hope not... It seems like they're still capable of writing decent music but they need to tone down the radio-friendliness and overproduction. And I think they're still really talented for the most part. Just would be a shame for so much talent to fall out of the mix because they gayed it all up.

Ignore all interviews where they've said they love playing the new songs, ignore all positive reviews, and say they just don't care anymore and that they've lost the passion.

Interview I read from them said they weren't trying to do a concept album for once and that they were just writing what they -felt- like writing and that it was liberating. I don't know how that can be conceived as bad, although I guess some people would say it is lazy that they weren't going for some highly thought-out concept like they often do.
Can't speak for how "lifeless" they might be on stage, but that can definitely be from other reasons besides the songs (personal, w/e).

Yeah, just because the band likes it doesn't mean it's good. They liberated themselves from something good including - good, consistent production that they've had since Leviathan (over-produced =/= good), awesome album art, and songs that actually stick with you.
