the 5 minute version of everybody wants to rule the world should've replace the one on the album, the melodies are much more spaced out. but hey, this is one of the best albums of the 80s.

I just found out that both Roland and Curt took the lead vocals on different songs and I'm freaked the fuck out.
I'm listening to Change (Curt) and Shout (Roland) back to back and I can't tell the difference between them what the fuck is this???

They're more distinct on the later albums than they were on The Hurting - and sometimes Roland really sounds like Curt (didn't know he was lead vocals on "I Believe" until like last year, and I'm a huge TFF fan) + if you didn't already know Curt had left the band in the early 90s, you'd think it was him on the chorus of "Fish Out of Water"

I had a similar reaction the first time I found out which songs Martin Gore sang on in Depeche Mode, but when I knew the difference & started watching their live shows it couldn't be more obvious who was singing what songs

To be honest I like The Hurting waaayy more. This album is basically three of the greatest pop songs of all time surrounded by a lot of filler.

Looks like you somehow clicked the 2 when you clearly meant to hit 5 - classic mistake!
