Really, really, really loving Frank at the moment. Just put this and Love, Ire and Song on shuffle, so good.

Redemption is probably my favourite off this.

he's a pretty mediocre artist in my opinion. good voice, decent band, but just monotonous and uninspired in his songwriting. I enjoy listening to this every once in awhile, but I just don't see the same magic in it as everyone else.

Uninspired songwriting? For real? Read the lyrics to Redemption or Glory Hallelujah and tell me how uninspired they are. COME AT ME.

I could see "uninspired" for this album maybe but no way a second of Love Ire and Song is, that album is flat-out amazing and full of passion and inspiration.

rabbit, did you meet AJJ or Frank? I met Shawn briefly by the merch - guy is hilarious. I waited for Frank for a bit, but had to catch a bus.

And yeah, Frank tore shit up last night. Photosynthesis was probably the best live closer I've ever seen. EPIC.

I hungout with AJJ for an hour beforehand. I only talked to frank briefly after the show (he was gone for like half an hour) but they were leaving that night so they were all leaving.

But I did talk to sarah, frank's girlfriend for like 10 minutes (not knowing she was his girlfriend) and she was perfect

screaming "There is no god" with frank 5 feet from you is the closest thing I have found to the meaning of life.

Eh, that track is one of the few things keeping this from being a 5, seems like a forced atheistic anthem to me.

Still, it would be a life-affirming experience live.

it's not about atheism though.

No, but that's how it'll be interpreted. Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" is a satire of America but people blast it like it's the national anthem.

i love the song, disagree that it's forced, think most people mis-understand what he's getting at etc. etc. etc.

but

it's definitely about atheism miles

Prob just my biased views on religion that are keeping me from enjoying it.

okay it's about atheism but not in a "anti-religion manner" more of a "think of all the wondrous things mere mortals have achieved" way

ha, my quasi-christian roommate got the chorus stuck in his head and hated me for it.

but yeah, i'm not big on the chorus either; the verses and organ are great though.

I'm uber Christian but still 5 this. I don't agree with the lyrics of course, but I don't agree with the lyrics of most songs by any given artist in one way or another. Doesn't really affect my rating too much.

So, in a completely heterosexual way, I have a man crush on Frank Turner.
