No, Meatplow makes a good point for the album. I mean, if that's how you view it and that's what you hear, then of course you're bound to enjoy the record - and it's useless to "try changing his mind" since that's a pretty solid way to look at the album. I just.. disagree, I suppose. To me, this stuff reeks of overproduction (and I disagree with you, plow, about the "finest sound engineering" - a lot of this stuff sounds messy and cheap, which may be intentional but it still sounds kinda..bad).

I respect your opinion and that of everyone else's here too, but I have questionable music tastes at times and it's always a good mental workout trying to defend the integrity of the music I claim to hold so dearly

misunderstood something
I wouldn't consider myself a fan of Gaga or any pop divas as such, I tend to dislike her whorish
image and don't care for anything she talks about or stands for. Critics tend to say this side of
her overshadows the music and disguises its superficiality, and in reality it does. Still, for the
most part I get off on the production and feel there are plenty of tightly written pop hooks to keep
me satisfied, even though what defines quality in this manner seems to be highly arguable from
person to person.
I really do think Born This Way gets a bad rap on sputnik, and for better or worse is one of
the defining pop albums of the current era . i'd rather be seeing the video for Judas or
The Edge of Glory on music video stations for the 100th time than Ke$ha or Nicki Minaj's
weird face
