Haha. I was gonna mention that.
I'm just about to review the swell album producer Bill Stevenson worked on directly after this... & it's another 4.

Sorry, I just get pissed off when a great melodic punk band becomes a cocksucking corporate rock band.

I'm guessing you didn't like Appeal To Reason either? Anyways I can totally relate to what you're saying I felt that too when I first heard this album... But just like Metallica's Black Album I learned to enjoy it within its own right (pretty random comparison but whatever). Anyways, I can understand why you don't like this.

Man, I still haven't heard what I would classify a 4.5 album this year, so this is still a AOTY contender for me.
|

Awww Davey that's too bad. My 4.5's of 2011 so far:
Protest The Hero - Scurrilous
Wormrot - Dirge
Unexpect - Fables of the Sleepless Empire
Woods of Desolation - Torn Beyond Reason
Still haven't decided on my final rating for Gold Cobra though

They sound way too metal for me... Especially Wormrot.
|
| |
Protest The Hero - Progressive metal
Wormrot - Grind
Unexpect - Classical experimental progressive death metal (or something)
Woods of Desolation - Black metal
I think you could enjoy the new PtH...
Why don't you give it a try? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcjAUvhRzeE

Wait until an MOR radio-rock band or a no-name post-hardcore band follows up a boring sophomore with an even more boring third album. Insta-4.5

Insta-4.5
Only if they're Christian

mitch, I will get around to Frank Turner.
I'm betting on the no-name post-hardcore band DavID. Or maybe Parades.
