yea I always thought Ritualist was fun
still, recent dimmu is like black metal lite, if that can even be a thing. like, they're trying to show the kids that black metal doesn't have to be that scary lol
but this at least has hooks, unlike in sorte

Naw it's got hellhammer. That alone puts it over this album. This is when their symphonic element got truly and hilariously out of control. In sorte at least still has riffs. And the album title is fittingly awful
