LA is awesome for jammin and driving around and equally awesome when you give it your full attention because its dynamic and moody and it just throws down harder than this does. It's easily a 4.5 for me.
But this album is like a whole world I can climb inside of and hang out in for hours. It's just so fucking big. I think of the first three tracks as a kind of an introduction to the world of the album before it essentially takes off into space and does it's thing. They're probably some of the weakest tracks if they're taken on their own, but without them there would be no sense of a gravity for the other tracks to defy complely.
