4.4 average is way too high imo, although this album is pretty good.

Lets just all admit it: this album is pretty fucking killer.
I will purchase the CD+DVD on release, and the Vinyl eventually as well.
Seriously, what a rad album

Album continues to impress me. Every song is really growing on me. But the ones I fell in love with right away would have to be Gold Teeth on a Bum and Room Full of Eyes. Widower is really different and great too. Album rules face.

I really don't want to bump this to a 4.5 but I haven't been listening to much else lately. Time will tell.

34 people are digging this?!? Is that some sort of new record?
Looks like I'll have to add this to my checklist of albums to check out.

I've only listened to it one and a half times through, but it's f*cking sick. I'd say it's almost as good as Calculating Infinity or Miss Machine, and maybe just as good. And I liked Ire Works. Just not as much as this.

The intro to "Good Neighbor" kicks incredible amounts of ass.

Whole album slays, it's not even fair.

The little riff in "Endless Endings" when Greg says "Endless! Endings!" around 20 seconds in reminds me of "Black Cloud" by Converge (riff into the chorus).

I just saw a 20 minute interview with DEP on Fox news. It was fucking awesome, but I have no idea why Fox would wanna get near them haha.

"I had a dream that even music that sounds like garbage cans rolling down stairs can get on Fox News."

I just finished listening to the album for the first time.... You know, when i first heard Farewell Mona Lisa, i was like "Ok, this is one of the best things, if not THE best thing, they've ever recorded. The rest of the album can't POSSIBLY be up to par with this." And....there's about 6 other songs on here that are up to par with it. Holy shit. Just....holy shit. I hate rating albums immediately after i've heard them, but i'm seriously tempted to just give this a 4.5 right now.

As good as this is, I'd love them to put out an album (hell, even an EP) of nothing but mathcore - Calculating Infinity style.

^^ That would kinda be going backwards considering how much they truly grew as songwriters on this record. There's plenty of insane shit on this record and it's balanced perfectly with the catchy/experimental stuff IMO.
BTW new Coheed is ripping so far

Not really. Calculating Infinity was way ahead of its time, and with Miss Machine and Ire Works it kinda felt they went back musically to make catchy songs. Sure, they're still amazing albums and the experimentation was pretty damn good, but they're just not at the same level CI was. This record feels like a better, beefed up Miss Machine; still not at the level of CI.

Just listened to this. I should rate it after a couple of more listens. I'm feeling a 4.5 coming.

great band but I don't understand the hype over this cd...I have it and while better then ire works....it's ok at best compared to machine and infinity.

A truly awesome release. Especially mellower tracks are incredible. They are breaking quite a few musical boundaries on this one.
