My 3 is too kind, honestly. This album loses me real quickly.

Walk in the Park's still my favorite off this, totally great song.

This album, in a literal sense, is a Teen Dream where I'm hanging out with friends during those teenage years, it's beautiful, fun, and all. Except for me, it's the moment where I wake up while realizing that those are only my wishful delusions within a dream and I've been alone since forever.
Painful to experience it again, just like this album

No time like the present.
For example, I'm gonna sit in my pajamas and eat pistachio ice cream all night take that mom.
See, teenage rebellion phase checked off right there.

Every negative review I've read for Penny Sparkle (far better album) makes points that remind me hard of this

Welp, I just bought the average down from a 4. Really liked Bloom but this was a disappointment considering it's often praised as the better album.

you have done well. Bloom is not great, but significantly better than this

There's just something about this hand that, even at their best, they're just kind of *there. They never impress but they never offend either. I love the vocals here but everything else is bland. Bloom has better atmosphere but can still struggle to be engaging outside of that.

If y’all think this one is boring then you must detest their first two albums.

I come and go to this one honestly. Some days i think is garbage, some days i think it's neat.

Most people who find this to be good aren't the type who actively explore the genre. For a combination of a sterile dream-pop composition and a janky vocal delivery, it weirdly happens to be popular with the demographics I've mentioned above.
Ever look at Billboard top 100 and wonder why are those songs popular? That's how I feel about Beach House.

7 is fun but yeah this is pretty damn boring

No. This is a wonderful, cohesive song cycle.
And: Gatekeeping dream pop of all things lol [2]
