Sometimes when I want to rage I revisit this abomination of a review. The kind of review that makes you question if the guy that wrote it is deaf.
This is easily one of the best albums of all time, a stunningly godlike masterpiece, a true classic, one of the most influential albums of the 2000s.

It has a very Lantlos sound because Herbst (main guy in Lantlos) produced it but I find Trautonist overall to be a pretty even mix of shoegaze / dreampop and black metal.

It is my favorite Alcest album, but it has no screams at all. I wouldn't put it much over Ecailles and Voyages, but it edges those out for me. I give them all three 10 / 10 though.
If you haven't heard the first EP, Le Secret, that's my favorite thing from Alcest over all. Neige's stuff from the beginning was just so incredible. Mortifera, Alcest, the Ruines Humaines ep from Amesoeurs.
