It's being mixed by Kurt Ballou, so I don't know what more you could possibly want. Plus, they wanted to record it with Elliott and Tyler, seeing as how they weren't in the band at that time. I think it's super neat when bands go back and re-record old material when they're far and late into their career.

"It's being mixed by Kurt Ballou"
so it will sound like literally everything ballou has produced in the last few years. i mean, sure, do whatever you want, it's not like i have an issue with the idea of re-recording your old stuff but usually i end up feeling displeased by the end result

Yeah why the hell would you re-record your best release ten years later? I get they're into that whole sparkly post-hardcore sound these days but this works so much better as a roughshod DIY skramzy release, and Jeremy's vocals are tighter on the original too.

Also was gonna drop my rating after posting that comment but just went back and maybe it's the nostalgia now this thing is a decade old but I'm keeping it where it is. So many good crowd-calls.

The only way I'm giving TA another dime is if they play Hipsterectomy again

Saw them play this in its entirety, incredible experience. It was wholesome to see this many people truly caring about a record.

Still one of the sickest album titles

This is good, but I’m wavering between a 3.5 or 4. Going with a 3.5 now and see if it grows. Good shit, but I do prefer the later songs I’ve heard (songs off Stage 4 and Is Survived By, Limelight, Deflector etc).

Same thing happened with Juturna. I started with I think a 3, now I’m up to 4.5 and contemplating 5. I feel this album following a similar trajectory.
