To be honest, I thought Ki was terrible.

Initially, I wasn't sold on this album, it didn't just jump out and grab me like the rest of his stuff, but this one grew on me a metric ton, which is sort of ironic, considering the music itself is some of his most forward, accessible stuff. And I Ih-Ah! needs more love. I'm in love with that track. As well as everything else on this album.

I love Devy's shit, but most of this 4-Album quadrilouy thing didn't do it for me.

I like this. There's some genius stuff here. But Ih-Ah! should get no credit whatsoever. It's the most boring, predictable song Devin could've possibly written. Devin's voice is the only thing that redeems it. Descending major acoustic riff, followed by palm muted chords, followed by piano repeating the first riff. Enter drums and predictable verse/chorus structure... Repeat. The lyrics are atrociously shallow too. When I first heard it, I thought he was making fun of predictable pop rock songs... God was I wrong. Unless he's just fooling everyone really well.

im pretty sure he just wanted to make the most generic song possible, but still make it sound good
|

It's the weakest song on this for sure

Listening to this now.. Still thinking this is the best DTP album, closely followed by Ghost, Decon and Ki.
Terminal, Supercrush!, Planet of the Apes, Feather. Respective best song from each album.
