i agree sort of; the more i listen to this the less i feel like listening to anything else by them. that said i enjoy the progression they made with boxer and high violet which are both excellent in their own respects

High Violet was always meh for me. Boxer is a 5 for me though. But while I love Boxer I love this that much more.

agree w/ rabbit pretty much except hi violet does have some v good songs

oh ya it has some amazing songs. It's just as an album I find it drags and gets lost in melancholy where this is so much more dynamic, which I find makes the melancholy sections on this seem so much more sincere.

High Violet is damn good, but I miss the "ragers" that are present on this album...i.e. Abel, Lit Up, Mr. November....etc.

yea both are excellent but been listening to high violet more often than boxer the past few days

Fake Empire into Mistaken for strangers then slow show into apartment story makes boxer better.

I'm probably going to go with Boxer for now, mainly because the weaker tracks on there (though there really are none) are much better than the weakest tracks on High Violet. And yeah, Slow Show into Apartment Story is just great.
