you should listen to their old stuff more i think

What albums are we talking about here? I clearly hear them use breakdowns on Jane Doe and No Heroes quite a bit; mind you, not in that conventional generic way.

I find this album has a great sense of focus with consistency and actually trimming some of the fat from the songs. All the songs meld together perfectly and the way this starts and ends....I couldn't ask for anymore.

god, i love neurosis dude, but you make sense with what you're trying to say and i agree with it.

converge have finally delivered on making their ADD mini-epics tactful and their breakdowns more

tasteful and not over bombarding the rest of their songs, most notably on the often uncouth 'No

Heroes'.

Breakdowns interest those who are beginning to get into metal. Please tell me you don't still enjoy them to the extent that you did when you were young?

I've never listened to metalcore for the sake of hearing breakdowns. They're a part of a song just like a verse, chorus, solo, or any other kind of section. Sometimes they come in an awesome way, sometimes they bog down the song, just like any other kind of section has the potential to do. I didn't even know what a breakdown was when I started listening to metalcore

Worms Will Feed, Rats Will Feast is shit (not the shit, just shit.)
Damages is sub-par.
The rest are amazing, especially the first four and the last two tracks.
