This is true, it's an album that's extremely comfortable in its own skin. I really didn't think I was going to like this honestly. It's really pushing to be my album of the year, although I hate to bring up the classic battle, but this fanboy must stick with Daisy for that title, at least until I give this some more listens.

This is growing on me. I think I like it more than the alchemy index's.

It's certainly better than I & II but I don't know if I could say it's better than III & IV. Especially the earth section which is prime imo.

I love The Weight, The Great Exchange and Beggars.

This wasn't nearly as good as their last albums.

I absolutely adore both this and Daisy, my number 1 and 2 albums of the year

"this is shit, same as the AI's"

How do you say that, and then still rate Beggars a 3?

Average album. I loved a couple tracks like "All the World is Mad" and "In Exile", but was bored to death by the straightforwardness of some of the other tracks. Then again, The Alchemy Index is the only thing from this band to really impress me. Don't understand how some people can rate this as a classic, but maybe that's just me.

Yeah, so anyone who rates this under a 4 is missing a part of their brain.

I just can't get into the second half of the album yet. I like the first 4 or 5 songs, but at the moment this is my least favourite Thrice album. Doesn't mean it sucks though.

@Mordecai21: yeah I had that problem too but now one of the most infectious songs on there to me is 'At The Last.' It really grows.

The ONLY song that I don't love is The Great Exchange. I do enjoy it, but other than that I think the second half is stellar. Wood & Wire, Talking Through Glass and Beggars are 3 of my favorites

Yeah The Great Exchange is a bit meh but every other song is spot on.

The abrupt acoustic ending of "Talking Through Glass" is haunting and so awesome, with the TV playing in the background

I'm kind of hesitant to try this out as I'm actually afraid I might not like it.
