@trilo yeah their last few releases were pretty weak but honestly you can't really count the last album since it wasn't really Chimaira. The Age of Hell was definitely their weakest "real" album though.
But I actually like The Infection a good amount, I think people shit on it too much. Rob Arnold still has the ability to write beastly riffs based on what I've heard from his other active projects. And I wouldn't be surprised if they've built up a little arsenal of sick material given how long its been compared to the standard 2 year album cycle.
But I guess we'll see.
Lol it'd be funny if this was actually just some reunion show announcement or a new merch drop

I'd be floored if Rob was involved in some new material

Think Rob's involvement is a given, seeing how he has been the driving force behind their recent reunion efforts.

if Rob is involved it's gonna go insane then, is Andols also involved?

I'd be surprised if he was, considering his health issues. More likely it's gonna be Austin D'Amond I think.

I mean I'm stoked about the vinyl but that's kind of a shitty way of announcing it lol

lol wow it really was just a merch drop after all 💀

One thing I missed from the announcement is that that the dudes are launching their own label called White Cobra Records. That's interesting... honestly I'm not sure how that bodes for ever seeing new Chimaira music given running a label is probably pretty work intensive
