There's an obv Sabbath influence, but they mix things up well on here. It's not a mere ripping off of their sound.

Well duh, Black Sabbath was more of a rock n roll kind of doom metal, this is epic doom metal

(which is an actual subgenre btw)

Sabbath laid the foundations. Candlemass, Saint Vitus, Trouble etc made it into a genre.

Sabbath's music is very different from Candlemass, every newbie falls into that trap at the beginning. There is only one common element: Both bands know how to compose heavy music that sounds melodic at the same time.
