Still doesn't make much sense, 18 is considered an adult everyone iirc.

more room for drunk young adults to be jackasses

i completely understand lol

Never had anyone acting like a jerk at the 21+ shows I've been at but could just be luck. All ages is a different story...

yeah they are but they're still better than what a lot of metal bands have put out the past couple years. ITAOT is definitely better than this also.

Post-metal is like a hidden gem of 21st century metal, beneath the melodic metalcore and deathcore bands that are so popular.

haha okay. 2009 was an epic win for death metal though.

I wasn't TOO up on 2009 death metal, but I definitely enjoyed Everything Is Fire. The only other dm I think I listened to from last year was Revocation, Nile and Suffocation unless my memory is failing me. They were all 3-3.5s though (well, Ulcerate is one of my closest 4.5s to becoming a 5, but the others three is what I meant).

Oh, and Fed Through The Teeth Machine, which was pretty awesome, even though I didn't get around to it until this year. I guess I still need to listen to Hypocrisy's latest too haha.

Blood Oath was pretty fantastic. And even though Those Whom the Gods Detest was basically just standard Nile, it was enjoyable for what it was. I don't know why anyone would go into it expecting anything different haha.

this year has some quality metal, but not much by way of straight up death metal. Twilight, Alcest, Ea, Negura Bunget, Hour of Pennance, and Hooded Menace are fulfilling my metal needs for 2010
