Bump because this still slays just as hard as when it dropped 22 years ago. Punk classic.

Not a 1-1 but I've seen Showbread called a Blood Brothers knockoff

Punk classic [2]
Yeah, I actually listened to Showbread not too long ago due to the comparison. Album I jammed was pretty fun, but nowhere near as bold, wild, or convincing as Blood Bros. While more grindcore, The Locust, An Albatross, and Head Wound City (for obvious reasons) are the closest to capturing the same spirit. I’m still holding out for a reunion album, because their reunion tour last year was peak, they sounded incredible still (if not better!) and a bunch of classic phxc and screamo bands have been doing reunion albums these past several years…

PSA: Evil Island (Johnny, Cody, Mark)’s debut hardcore punk album Terraform the Afterlife is out now! Such a fun album with some of Johnnys best vocal work and incredible performances from both Cody and Mark, respectfully. Jordan also makes a guest appearance on the track “I Bought a Spell”. Some other cool guest spots from members of Fugazi, Sleigh Bells, and XCOMM. The album was produced by Ross Robinson who also produced Burn Piano Island Burn! NO, it’s not a new Blood Bros album BUT this is easily the most exciting post-BB album and the closest we’ve gotten to a reunion record. Highly recommend fans of the band to check out Evil Island.
